Lecturers at universities and engineering colleges have a sad impression that the students who have finished high school possess a poor grasp of physics. What is most striking is not their lack of information or theoretical concepts but rather the absence of clear and correct ideas about the relations between these concepts. Students often cannot say what forms the basis of a definition, what is the result of an experiment, and what should be treated as a theoretical generalisation of experimental knowledge. New facts are often taken as self-evident corollaries, and for this reason the importance of the facts remains unrecognised. Sometimes, different formulations of the same statements are mistaken as different laws.
The series focuses on examples that creats a long lasting impression on reader's mind.

‘The grand master’s tools for problem solving in Physics – 1’ is the first book of an ongoing series ‘’The grand master’s tools’’ in which the next book will be released in 60 days. These books are designed for Advanced level experience of problem solving in undergraduate physics. The books are intended for JEE Advanced tests in India and physics Olympiad worldwide.
However, this book is simply not another problem book. When one learns from a teacher, they simply try to understand the way the problem is being approached, and this book provides you with different perspectives to approach a problem at hand. Solutions are given next to the problems. The book is not meant to be used like an exercise book where one tries the problems first and then looks for solutions. Rather, the purpose of the book is to learn the solutions before starting to solve general problems in physics. Though one will need to learn the theoretical contents from any standard textbook first. Many new tools of problem solving have been provided. Problems are mostly solved using Geometry and Algebra. Calculus has not been given the top priority as a tool. Different ways of looking at a problem were are also considered during the preparation of solutions. In a nutshell, this is more of a solution book than a problem book.
Particle dynamics problems based on the application of Newton’s laws of motion are covered in the series. In this volume 50 problems, completely solved, along with a supplementary one. Thus, in total 51problems are solved in detail with different perspectives in mind. However, this book is simply not another problem book. When one learns

In the year 2024, the whole series is going to be completed. The next book in the series will contain 4 topics written to master the problem solving in Physics. Right now, everybody is either learning or teaching Physics. I have exclusively worked for all my life to shape the concepts to learn and solve theoritical problems. This is the work of life time. It doesn't contain any theoritical material because a book containing theoritical material is written to fulfill a certain curriculum . Problem solving is all about breaking the bars. For me, Physics is all about solving problems of the world, being a problem solver. Theoritical materials are the simplest part. One can learn them anywhere from anybody, they are same everywhere.
1. Mechanics
2. Heat and Thermodynamics
3. Electricity and Magnetism
4. Optics
This is the first part of Electricity and Magnetism, includes ELECTROSTATICS and CAPACITORS. It contains 116 completely worked out examples, the problems are collected from various sources like forgotten British books, examination papers of Oxford university, University of Bologna, Italy archives and well known physics olympiads round the globe. Few of them are inspired by IIT JEE tests. The emphasis is on a methodical and concrete solution to every problem. The solutions are worth reading for a curious character.
This is the second and concluding part of Elecricity and Magnetism. It covers rest of the chapters of electromagnetism. The book is still under preparation and the expected time of completion is end of July. One can be sure to put hands on the book in early August for sure.
The Optics book is under preparation and we are planning to release it as a single book. ETA is September- October, 2024.

Simplicity is the key
My name is Vikram Aditya and I teach Classical Mechanics (including Hamilton’s Principle, Langragian Dynamics, Hamiltonian Dynamics, continuum Mechanics, Relativity and Statistical Mechanics of IPHO Syllabus, Electrodynamics, Optics and Modern Physics as described in JEE Main & Advanced syllabus. I studied and prepared my physics based on Textbooks of John Dirk Walecka, John D Griffiths and Thorton & Merian. My problem solving is inspired by J. Pierrus and I am a continuous follower of Jaan Kalda. I can speak English, Hindi. I can read and write English, Hindi and Russian. I am currently participating as a team member to prepare the millennial edition of Решение сложных и нестандартных задач по физике by legendary author M S KROSIN (М.С. Красин).
You will find material to test your understanding of Physical concepts taught in lectures, to improve your ability to solve concrete problems, and also a way to discover aspects of physics which should prove useful in problem solving for IIT JEE
Our mission is to embrace the pursuit of excellence both inside and outside the classroom. We encourage critical thinking and emphasize the learning process over rote memorization.
